Real Reason YouTube Took Down Wizkid's 'Manya' Video

Reasons why Wizkid's music video 'Manya' was removed by YouTube has been revealed following controversies it generated. Wizkid   Ayo Balogun, aka Wizkid’s latest song, Manya, which was recently uploaded to YouTube, has been removed.   There have been rumours trying to explain the reason the video was pulled down, however, reports say 'Manya' was removed because of Wizkid’s agreement with Sony music.   The contract allegedly places a limitation on the amount of local content he can release. Perhaps this is why he didn’t do a video for all his songs this year. The video can now be found on one Mutay of Legendary Beatz’s YouTube account.   Manya video was number one trending song on YouTube before it was taken down. Now, the video is neither on Wizkid’s VEVO nor on Starboy’s YouTube.   Before it was pulled down, the video amassed over 1.5 million views within a week.

Why IPOB Fell Like A House Of Cards: Nnamdi Kanu's Confessions

Churchill Okonkwo reacts to the dramatic silence of the Indigenous People of Biafra after Nnamdi Kanu's disappearance following a military action. Churchill Okonkwo writes on IPOB   This is the confessions of a dangerous mind that lied, to tell the truth. Even though it is very dark where I am held against my wish, I saw IPOB shake and tremble, and then fall to pieces like a house of cards. By using IPOB to promote the divisive rhetoric of seductive but destructive whisper that is pushing Ndigbo to the false comfort zone of isolationism, I erred.   I scratched the itching eye with the piece of wood meant for scratching an itching ear. In my arrogance, I never imagined that should the Nigerian security operatives make a determined effort to extinguish me, the human rocks I had piled as a barrier around my father’s house would come tumbling down. The invasion of my father’s house by murderous Nigerian security operatives and the subsequent killing of many of my un...

States and unclaimed UBEC funds

IT is a major symptom of the rot in the quality of leadership in the country that many states have failed to provide the counterpart funds required to collect their shares of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) funds. It has been established that out of the N35.2 billion set aside by the Federal Government to fund basic education in the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), only 19 states and the FCT have claimed their N19 billion share, leaving N16.2 billion unclaimed by the rest 17 states. Listed among the erring states are: Zamfara, Taraba, Gombe, Plateau, Nasarawa, Ekiti, Ogun, Ondo, Oyo, Kogi, Kwara, Kebbi, Imo, Anambra, Benue and Enugu States. The states fell behind due to their failure to provide their counterpart funds, which is the condition tied to the collection of the grant. In fact, some states like Ekiti and Edo have failed to meet this condition for some years due to the alleged mismanagement of funds meant for that purpose by su...

Criticise us- FG

The Federal Government has said the war against corruption remains the toughest of all the three cardinal issues that it campaigned with before the conduct of the 2015 general elections. The other two cardinal points are revamping of the economy and tackling insecurity. It, therefore, called on the media to stop mocking the Federal Government over its declaration of war against corruption in the country. The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, stated this on Monday in Abuja at the opening of the 68th General Assembly of the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria. The theme of the conference was “The Media and the fight against corruption.” Rather than mocking, Mohammed said the media should join hands with the government in its determination to stamp out corruption in the country. He said the fight must not be seen as that of President Muhammadu Buhari alone, warning that corruption is capable of killing the country if not well tackled. ...
